Shipping to lower 48 states is FREE for all products except those from Arteflame, who requires us to charge for shipping. Orders are confirmed via email when your order is placed. Tracking numbers are sent once your product ships. For heavy items shipped via freight, a representative will call you to schedule the delivery of your order for a time when you, or someone you designate, can be present to sign for delivery.
Since our items are sourced from vendors and manufacturers across the world, our products might take a little longer to deliver. We believe the right things are worth waiting for, and while we will almost never be able to have a product to you at instant gratification speeds, we will strive to get you your orders as fast as we can, and we will always be honest and transparent about the estimated time of arrival of the products you order from us. We will email your item’s expectant shipping date as soon as we have it, usually within 48 hours of your order. Freight shipments (for most large and/or heavy items) are quoted at curbside delivery prices. For white glove delivery, or other specialized shipping requests, please contact us at email@example.com prior to placing your order so that we can offer you personalized pricing for additional services. Waiting to request these services until curbside delivery from the freight delivery representative doesn’t guarantee accommodation of your request, and will result in additional charges to you by the freight company for those additional services in addition to any shipping fees paid to us for curbside delivery of your order.
Cancellation of your order is not always possible, as we strive to complete your order as soon as we’ve received it. Once your order has gone into production we are unable to cancel it, and your order will fall under our return policy. While it doesn’t happen often, we know how disappointing it can be to receive products that have been damaged during the shipping process. If you do receive damaged products, the following procedures must be followed:
Before signing for acceptance of the delivery, it is the customer’s responsibility to open and inspect all boxes for damage upon delivery with the delivery driver still present. You must note any damage found directly on the POD (Proof of Delivery) papers the driver will have you sign as receipt of delivery of the goods being shipped. This note should include a clear description of any and all damages visible to you upon inspection of the item(s) and packaging in your order. It is strongly encouraged, if possible, to take photos of the damages to both products and packaging while the delivery driver is still there, as these photos can be used in the claims process as proof of carrier liability.
In the case of a damaged shipment, please retain all packaging materials for 45 days, which is required for the carrier to inspect, if they elect to do so. If you fail to detail the damages when signing off on the POD, you are essentially indicating you received all of your items in perfect condition, and the shipping carrier will deny any freight damage claim. You must notify Outdoor Ideology within 24 hours of any issues arising from the delivery of your order.
We will file freight damage claims and determinations of replacements and/or repairs; we will not assume responsibility for any shipping damages incurred in transit that are not noted on the POD by the customer at the time of delivery.
Orders received by the customer with damages not incurred due to shipping errors should be reported to email@example.com within 24 hours of receipt of delivery. We will request details and photographs of those damages so that we can assist you in correcting your order. We reserve the right to correct the damage with repairs, replacements, or refunds, at our discretion.
Claims for a lost or stolen order must be reported within 24 hours of expected delivery.
Outdoor Ideology sources our selection of products from top notch manufacturers around the world. We stand behind our products and work hard to ensure all of our products have superior design, quality, durability, and sustainability. Our vendors and manufacturers have a range of return policies that vary slightly, so we ask that you inquire about the return eligibility of any products prior to your purchase. Should we have sent you a different product or variation from the one you ordered, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will provide you with a prepaid shipping label.
If you are planning to return an item, please keep all of your item’s original packaging. You can contact us at email@example.com to inquire about your item’s eligibility for return. All returns are handled on a case-by-case basis. Return options and instructions will be provided once we have received the details of your return. Please note we cannot provide refunds for buyer’s remorse or a client’s change of heart, nor for inconsistencies in color variations in the actual product from the ones depicted on your phone/tablet/computer/other screen when viewing the product. We reserve the right to repair, replace, or refund at our discretion.
Approved refunds are offered in the following manner:
Outdoor Ideology store credit: You will receive store credit for the item’s price, minus the true cost of outbound and return shipping. If you select this option, all restocking fees will be waived.
Original Form of Payment: You will receive a refund to your original form of payment for the item’s price, minus the true cost of outbound and return shipping, and minus a 15-30% restocking fee, depending on the vendor/manufacturer’s restocking policies. It is the customer’s responsibility to inquire about any restocking fees prior to purchase.
Outdoor Ideology follows the restocking policies of our vendors and manufacturers. Their restocking fees vary, and are based on the amount of time required to assess and repackage the item for reselling, and the time required for filing claims in cases where the returned item was damaged in shipping back to the vendor or manufacturer.
